Member of the Russian delegation to the Arctic Council; Deputy Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Human and Global Environmental Change International Program; co-author of two reports of the Intergovernmental Panel of Experts on Climate Change.

Scientific interests: (1) economic aspects of global environmental problems; (2) international and national environmental management tools; (3) international cooperation in adapting socio-economic systems to the effects of climate change; (4) the world food problem.

Author of more than 150 scientific papers published in Russia and abroad.
