Integrated comprehensive nature of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), connected with integral perception of nature and more realistic understanding of a human being in his socio-cultural sphere, brings new requirements for information-analytical provision of natural protection activity. It is shown that reaching SDGs to a great extent is connected with new possibilities for processing huge blocks of empirical data – data at micro-level, as well as with the development of metadata bases and methods for processing them with application of GIS-technologies. It allows to take into account both natural and socio-cultural features of territories. The most important information systems the development of which should be activated in the Russian Federation are: Shared Environmental Information system (SEIS) and the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA).
